For a 200 foot run the wire size will of course depend on the load in the shed. Several of the companies went out of business after making lower quality products and having problems. If you have Federal Pacific or any of the other obsolete panel brands then there is no matching them any more. It's always good to try to stay with the same brand so a replacement breaker will work in any panel. If you currently have Square D QO breakers then I would go with that new panel. They are reasonably priced and considered the highest quality available. It's not that big of a deal to replace the breakers with new Square D Homeline breakers. I would give some consideration to the brand you already have breakers for. With this you can reconnect the existing feeders and add a 7th 2 pole breaker for the shed. ![]() Your idea of a new 200 amp panel for a service disconnect is excellent. The code limits to 6 the number of disconnects in a service.
